MOUSLockheed Martin has completed its evaluation of a satellite communications system and an air interface standard by using a Rockwell Collins-built airborne radio technology.

Lockheed“™s engineering team gathered data by monitoring Mobile User Objective System parameters through several ground tests under the first phase of evaluation, Rockwell Collins said Tuesday.

Rockwell Collins“™ ARC-210 radio was then installed on an L-100 Hercules aircraft and worked to acquire signal during flight tests.

Paul Scearce, Lockheed director of military space advanced programs, said the MOUS technology is intended to fulfill communications requirements of soldiers.

The ARC-210 radio features Demand Assigned Multiple Access and Integrated Waveform satellite communications technologies and warfighters use that radio system for communications.
