A Louis Berger Group-led joint venture with Tidal Basin Government Consulting and Atkins Global won a potential $163 million contract to help the Federal Emergency Management Agency inspect damaged houses after disasters.
Vanguard Emergency Management will work with FEMA under the potential five-year indefinite-quantity/indefinite-delivery contract to ascertain federal aid amounts for survivors of disasters, Louis Berger said Thursday.
The joint venture’s contract contains one base year and four one-year options.
Tom Lewis, senior vice president for U.S. operations at Louis Berger, said the firm brings a team of 14,000 people at 290 offices to the contract and aims to help FEMA work with families and organizations to file for government assistance.
Louis Berger will act as managing partner for the program.
Vanguard was created to help communities and areas in need with emergency, infrastructure and engineering services.
