Oracle has added new business intelligence features into its data discovery software platform, aiming to help enterprises derive insights from a wide variety of sources.
Endeca Information Discovery works to explore, analyze and process unstructured content and help users build dashboards for decision making, Oracle said Thursday.
The company updated the software to integrate with its BI architecture and connect with different kinds of databases.
Keith Johnson, Oracle group vice president of software development, said the company intends for customers to gain new data-driven perspectives from secure channels by using the software.
Version 3.1 is built with a self-service feature for enterprises to create discovery applications without support from IT organizations.
Oracle also rolled out an Endeca toolkit intended to help organizations extract content from various web portals and cloud applications.
