Raytheon launched a math and science education program at the Abu Dhabi Science Festival Thursday as part of a five-year tour in the Middle East.
The company uses video games, sports, robotics and other presentations to advocate for math education and other activities related to STEM through MathAlive!, Raytheon said Thursday.
“With our nearly 50 years of building relationships in the region, we know that math education is a priority,” said William Swanson, Raytheon chairman and CEO.
“We hope that it inspires countless students to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and math,” Swanson added.
Raytheon intends for MathAlive to showcase educational content on math, including historical achievements of mathematicians and scholars in the Persian Gulf region.
