Unisys Corp. has been selected to host the logistics system of a Chinese airline company Air China Cargo in its logistics management platform.
Air China Cargo also migrated its system to TravelSky’s booking and shipment handling portal based on the Unisys Cargo Portal Services software designed to connect customers to carriers and forwarders, Unisys said Tuesday.
TravelSky deploys the Unisys Logistics Management System service to China’s airlines from Unisys’ private cloud environment in Beijing.
TravelSky, which provides information technology services for China’s tourism industry, runs the Unisys Logistics Management System, In-transit Service Manager and Cargo Portal Services.
“We welcome Air China Cargo and TravelSky to our cargo community,” said Christopher Shawdon, vice president of logistics solutions for Unisys.
“Speed of execution is critical for air cargo carriers who operate in highly competitive environments,” he added.
Unisys designed the LMS to fulfill regulatory requirements for domestic cargo shipments in China and TravelSky worked to integrate the Air China Cargo flight operation system with the Chinese Customs.
