Andreas Christian Hoffman Appointed Siemens General Counsel

SiemensLogoAndreas Christian Hoffman has been appointed to succeed Peter Solmssen as general counsel and head of the legal and compliance department at Siemens AG, effective Jan. 1, 2014.

Solmssen has served on both of those roles since October 2007, the company announced Wednesday.

Joe Kaeser, Siemens president and chief executive officer, said Solmssen “played a central role in establishing a sustainable corporate culture of integrity which is viewed as exemplary worldwide.”

“This achievement will remain our benchmark and our beacon as we further align our legal and compliance organization,” Kaeser added.

Hoffman will report directly to Kaeser.
