Christopher Kubasik, formerly president and chief operating officer at Lockheed Martin, has joined Spirit AeroSystems“™s board of directors.
Kubasik served as Lockheed’s electronic systems executive vice president from 2007 to 2009, EVP and chief financial officer from 2001 to 2007 and VP and controller from 1999 to 2001, Spirit AeroSystems said Wednesday.
“Chris brings a wealth of financial expertise and industry leadership background, and we are very pleased to welcome him to the board,” said Bob Johnson, board chairman of Spirit AeroSystems.
Johnson added Kubasik will serve on the audit and government and security committees.
Kubasik also worked for Ernst & Young LLP for 17 years before becoming a partner in 1996.
He has been an operation, financial and merger and acquisition consultant through Ackuity Advisor LLC since January 2013 prior to joining Spirit AeroSystems.
