Cobham, Comtech Units Team to Build Develop Maritime Antenna Products; Darren Manning Comments

Cobham SATCOM has partnered with a Comtech Telecommunications subsidiary to manufacture and install radio frequency solutions with Cobham’s maritime antenna technologies.

The partnership with Comtech EF Data is meant to benefit the maritime sector and extended the companies’ current working relationship, Cobham and Comtech said Thursday.

Darren Manning, senior product manager at Cobham SATCOM, said the strategic partnership is intended to help promote new very-small-aperture terminal antenna systems for the maritime industry’s communication requirements.

Existing antenna systems such as the 9711, 9797B, 5012, 6012 and 4009 MK2 have already been integrated with Comtech’s RF technology, the companies said.
