HPLogo1 EbizHewlett Packard has rolled out a new converged system designed to help enterprises manage data center applications and workloads, CXOtoday reported Monday.

The publication reports that the HP infrastructure features software and hardware systems that are built to store, archive and back up vital data.

Till Stimberg, product manager of HP’s storage business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, was quoted as saying the goal is to provide customers a unified platform while maintaining service-level agreements.

HP’s offering is comprised of the StoreOnce backup and security tools and the 3PAR StoreServ storage system, according to the article.

The company also intends for the converged infrastructure to address performance issues and transfer applications between public and private cloud environments, according to the report.
