Smartphone1 EbizMcAfee and Apperian have agreed to integrate their security platforms with the goal of helping information technology personnel safeguard enterprise applications for mobile devices.

The alliance is aiming to combine McAfee’s ePolicy Orchestrator software and Apperian’s mobile app management platform, Apperian said Tuesday.

Apperian also signed up for McAfee’s security innovation alliance and sales teaming program.

David Patrick, Apperian CEO, said the integration seeks to improve the app user experience and reduce an organization’s risk of wiping out information from personal devices.

Ed Barry, vice president of McAfee’s security innovation alliance, said the company intends for clients to secure mobile apps and data by using the integrated product.

Government and corporate users use the McAfee ePO to ensure multi-vendor product security and mobile compliance across the enterprise, Apperian says.
