Nitin Pradhan, Ty Gabriel Start Online GovCon Marketplace

ContractsNitin Pradhan, former chief information officer at the U.S. Transportation Department, and Silicon Valley entrepreneur Ty Gabriel have launched a website designed to link government buyers and technology startups, The Washington Post reported Monday.

Marjorie Censer writes GOVonomy was created to provide reviews of commercial technology products and help contractors sell their offerings to public sector customers through a reseller agreement with the site.

Pradhan told the Post he expects GOVonomy to attract 100 technology contractors within a year.

The portal offers free registration for government users and lets buyers search products according to their mission needs, Censer writes.
