URS and subcontractor Lawrence Construction will work with the Colorado Department of Transportation to perform infrastructure repairs in the state after the September South Platte River Basin flooding.
The companies on conducting permanent and temporary repair work on state highways located east of Interstate 25 in Region 4 such as Brush, Fort Morgan, Greeley, Julesburg, Sedgwick and Sterling, URS said Thursday.
“URS and Lawrence Construction are pleased to have been selected to help Colorado rebuild from the recent devastating floods,“ said Bruce Trott, general manager of civil construction and mining at URS.
Trott added the companies have previously worked in the Denver region and will bring construction knowledge to help with Colorado’s recovery efforts.
The companies restored state highway route mobility prior to CDOT’s Dec. 1 deadline.
