A U.K. research facility has deployed an Agilent Technologies scanning microscopy device to support experimental studies on two-dimensional materials, including graphene.
The 5600LS atomic force microscope was installed at the Cambridge Graphene Centre, a nanotechnology innovation hub backed by the European Commission, Agilent said Thursday.
Agilent’s instrument works by using an electrical characterization method to examine nanoscale objects’ diverse electrical properties, the company says.
The Cambridge Graphene Centre’s goal is to develop nanoscale processes for the manufacturing and integration of super high-speed devices.
