deloitteDeloitte has released the sales forecast of smartphones, tablets, wearable technology, computers, television sets and gaming consoles in 2014.

The Technology, Media and Telecommunications Predictions 2014 report projects smart glasses, fitness bands and watches to reach nearly 10 million in unit sales for $3 billion this year, Deloitte said Tuesday.

Deloitte also forecasts smartphones, tablets, PCs, TV sets and gaming consoles will hit more than $750 billion in global sales this year.

“These newer technologies allow enterprises and consumers to become more connected, while opening a wealth of new business and communication opportunities,” said Eric Openshaw, vice chairman of Deloitte LLP and U.S. technology, media and telecommunications lead.

Online viewing of TV programs via PCs, tablets and smartphones is expected to grow, according to the forecast.

Phablets, which are smartphones with large displays, will account for 25 percent of smartphone shipments, or 300 million units, this year and 2014 is expected to mark the peak season for these types of smartphones, Deloitte says.
