data centerCenturyLink Technology Solutions will use an IO software-defined data center infrastructure to extend its colocation and managed hosting services into the Phoenix market.

The CenturyLink subsidiary aims to deliver up to 9 megawatts in data center capacity to Phoenix customers using IO’s Intelligence Control platform, IO said Wednesday.

Jeff Von Deylen, president of CenturyLink Technology Solutions, said the IO technology is built to help enterprises reduce IT-related operational and energy costs.

The IO Intelligent Control suite is comprised of modules and an operating system designed to monitor and maintain applications across a data center.

IO says the partnership gives customers access to ClientConnect, a CenturyLink-made online portal for businesses to locate, connect and share services with each other.
