The State of Connecticut has signed a three-year agreement with Connecticut Interactive LLC for eGovernment services and the management of the state’s official portal.

The contract has renewal options the could run through 2020, according to NIC Inc., the Connecticut Interactive parent company, announced Friday.

Under the contract, the company will provide the state “an enhanced user experience on ct.gov, as well as developing additional mobile applications and new online services that benefit citizens and businesses.”

“Online government services with a mobile-enabled approach are no longer the exception, but the expectation,” said Mark Raymond,  state of Connecticut chief information officer.
