Sohaib AbbasiInformatica Corp. plans to expand its channel partner program through cloud-based and on-premise offerings, CRN reported Dec. 27.

Rick Whiting writes the Redwood, Calif.-based company intends to leverage the recently launched Informatica Cloud and PowerCenter Express offerings in an effort to seek business opportunities with service providers.

Sohaib Abbasi, Informatica CEO, told the publication that channel partners represent nearly 25 percent of the company’s revenue.

“And we will continue to expand our channel program using both our cloud offerings [and] our on-premise offerings,” Abbasi said.

“Our partner strategy involves going into a variety of different verticals. Often the partners add value with their deep knowledge of the key verticals for Informatica,” he added.

Informatica’s vertical market is comprised of financial services, public sector, retail, manufacturing and healthcare, CRN reports.

Whiting writes the company also built the Vibe virtual data machine offering for data infrastructure requirements.

“And we will continue to focus on the Internet of Things and make sure that we can provide the infrastructure to harness the value of Internet of Things,” Abbasi told CRN.
