CH2MhillCH2M Hill has won a $30 million contract to oversee an expansion project at the Port of Anchorage, Alaska which has been stalled since 2009 due to design issues, Public Media reported Thursday.

Daysha Eaton writes the five-year contract includes two one-year options valued at $12 million.

Stacey Jones, a vice president at CH2M Hill, will lead the project management team at the site, according to the report.

“I believe one of the reasons that CH2M Hill was selected is because of extensive experience in managing projects,” Jones told the publication.

Construction work at the port is expected to resume in 2016 and take between 18 months and two years to complete, Eaton reports.
