SoftwareAGlogo1Cyber awareness in corporations is on the rise and they need tools to help with the decision making process in case a cyber attack occurs, Software AG executives Bill Lochten and Chris Steel said to On The Frontlines magazine.

Government senior officials, mission leaders and information technology professionals need real-time insight into the important aspects of their business for timely action, says Lochten, national vice president for government solutions at Software AG.

“The reasons are largely due to disparate systems and requirements that pose fairly significant problems for agencies drowning in data,” he told the publication.

Steel, chief solutions architect for government services at Software AG, highlighted tools in the market that work to address disparate systems.

Terracotta‘s Enterprise Ehcache, for instance, speeds up queries up to 10 times and works to cut the amount of time needed for analytics from minutes to just microseconds on demand, Steel told On The Frontlines.

According to Lochten, the challenge lies in how to apply this speed to customers with complex environments and a variety of data sources and repositories.
