ITphotoMerlin International holds a prime position on a potential seven-year, $22 billion contract to help the Department of Homeland Security acquire information technology commodities from original equipment manufacturers.

The $3 billion DHS FirstSource II contract has a five-year base period with two one-year option periods, Merlin announced Monday.

FirstSource II is intended to connect DHS with value-added reseller services for purchasing IT tools.
