Booz Allen Hamilton is partnering with the World T.E.A.M. Sports to sponsor an annual event that recognizes the country’s disabled veterans through commemorative 110-mile, two-day bicycle rides from the Pentagon to Gettysburg, Pa.
This year’s Face of America rise is scheduled for April 25 through April 27 and will have more than 500 participants, World T.E.A.M Sports announced Thursday.
“The event is an opportunity to honor our veterans, raise funds to support their rehabilitation and experience first-hand their incredible spirit and resiliency,” said Andrea Inserra, a Booz Allen senior vice president.
“It’s more than just a ride – it’s an opportunity to gain a personal understanding of the positive impacts of adaptive sports on service members and their families and as well as a time to build camaraderie and friendships.”
Participants will include disabled veterans, active and retired military, emergency response personnel and other members of the public.
World T.E.A.M President Van Brinson said Booz Allen has sponsored the event for four years.
