Lockheed Martin BlueLockheed Martin’s information systems and global services business unit will work to consolidate the U.S. Navy’s C2ISR systems (command, control intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance), SEAPOWER Magazine reported Friday.

Richard Burgess writes Lockheed plans to fund an internal research and development program to build a centralized display of operational and tactical data for commanders of naval warships.

Marty Jenkins, business lead for Navy systems in Lockheed’s IS&GS unit, said the company will design an integrated C2ISR system to provide users a common real-time view of operations.

The company wants operators to access multiple databases by using computer devices connected to a cloud-based server, according to the report.
