satellite airforceIEC Telecom Group will serve as a value-added reseller of Inmarsat‘s broadband satellite communications service in the media, energy and non-governmental markets.

IEC Telecom will market the Inmarsat Global Xpress offering to customers in the Middle East, North Africa and Central Asia, Inmarsat said Tuesday.

Ronald Spithout, Inmarsat Enterprise president, said IEC Telecom offers a range of machine-to-machine, video and audio broadcasting, voice over Internet Protocol and wireless area network technologies.

Erwan Emilian, CEO of IEC Telecom, added the company aims to deliver Ka-band connectivity for satellite-based communications through its alliance with Inmarsat.

Global Xpress is designed to operate with Inmarsat’s existing L-band network and to support mobile broadband communications anywhere.
