b-w world-peopleAgilent Technologies Inc. has awarded Princeton University professor Joshua Rabinowitz a thought leader award intended to expand the company’s support of quantitative analysis of cellular metabolism.

The award will support Rabinowitz’ global cell metabolism and regulation research using Agilent’s 6550 MS-QTOF, a mass spectromertry tool, the company announced Thursday.

The partnership’s goal is to ultimately “assemble an integrative understanding of how protein levels are regulated and how this ties into overall cellular metabolic activity,” the company said.

“We are very happy to expand our work with Rabinowitz and his team to support their efforts developing quantitative proteomics methodologies and pan-omics studies of metabolism,” said John Fjeldsted, Agilent director of Mass Spectrometry Research and Development.

The Agilent Thought Leader Award honors professionals in the life sciences and chemical analysis fields, according to Agilent.
