MutualinkMutualink has launched a multimedia communications technology to assist emergency management at public, private and parochial K-12 schools by setting a direct link with first responders such as police, fire and medical services.

Mutualink K12 unifies voice, data, video and text communications from radio, telephone, public address and other systems into one platform and enables real-time resource sharing with emergency personnel, the company said Monday.

“Our goal with Mutualink K12 is to provide schools with an affordable, effective means to communicate and share critical information with first responders in the face of an emergency, but equally important, it is a solution to plan and practice response,” said Mark Hatten, Mutualink’s CEO.

The invitation-based platform provides full system control to the schools and public safety agencies involved, allowing for the sovereignty and security of emergency communications, Mutualink said.
