Lockheed Martin BlueLockheed Martin Corp.’s space systems division plans to open hundreds of new satellite design and manufacturing jobs at its Denver, Colo.-based headquarters in June, the Denver Business Journal reported Monday.

Lockheed Martin Space Systems Co. recently moved some of its employees to the new campus in Jefferson County and an additional 350 workers are set to relocate there from its Newtown, Pa.-based site over the next two months, according to the report.

“By the latter part of this year, we will have consolidated the vast majority of commercial space business here,” Mike Hamel, president of the commercial ventures business at Lockheed Martin Space Systems, told the publication.

Denver Business Journal reports Lockheed Martin transferred its commercial space business to Denver after it closed the Newtown manufacturing facility in 2013.
