Capgemini logoCapgemini has moved to expand the company’s nearshore coverage by distributing resources and services between Mexico, India and the U.S., Nearshore Americas reported Monday.

Norberto Gaona reports that Capgemini Mexico and its nearshore delivery center in Aguascalientes will collaborate with clients in India and the U.S.

“The nearshore concept that we are proposing makes the most of the proximity of the clients, the benefits that come with working in the same time zone and the advantages afforded by the North American Free Trade Agreement, which makes obtaining works visas much more feasible,” said Peter Kroll, Capgemini Mexico senior vice president and CEO.

Kroll added that while the time difference between the countries also presents a business benefit in productivity, close communications between the project front office and back office can address potential concerns on collaboration.

Gaona writes the company is also careful to not overlook local growth through a planned future expansion of its Aguascalientes delivery center to work with both local and U.S. clients and accommodate at least 1,000 employees.
