Lockheed Martin BlueLockheed Martin is set to install a cloud-based passenger management and tracking system at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport to help the establishment in its efforts to improve operations and client experience.

The offering includes its Chroma airport collaboration database with BlipTrack technology, which follows mobile phone signals to determine foot traffic information at the terminals, Lockheed said Wednesday.

According to the company, real-time data would allow travelers to plan their stay at the airport and at the same time provide personnel with actionable insights on passenger throughput times, especially in areas such as security gates.

“The BlipTrack technology benefits both passengers and the airport team as it allows them to see, in real time, where potential queues and pressure points are and provide proactive planning of the situation to improve service,” said Martin Bowman, director of global airports at Lockheed Martin.
