Raytheon logo_EbizRaytheon Co. has demonstrated its Mobile Range system’s tri-band telemetry antenna to test the technology’s reception and tracking capabilities.

The system worked to track an AIM-9 missile onboard an F-18 Hornet aircraft through L-, S- and C-Band telemetry signals during a demonstration at Naval Base Ventura County in California, Raytheon said Thursday.

”Mobile Range’s test performance demonstrated the maturity and reliability of its tri-band technologies under very realistic test conditions,” said Thomas Bussing, vice president of advanced missile systems at Raytheon missile systems.

Raytheon’s Mobile Range features integrated communications, optics and telemetry systems for multi-setting flight testing, demonstrations and data collection functions.

Operators will be able to deploy Mobile Range on land, at sea or in the air and control the system via a network connection.
