TeleCommunication Systems has been awarded a contract to design a cybersecurity training program for Sypris Electronics.

Drew Morin, senior vice president and chief technology officer at TCS, said his company formed the partnership with Sypris to help enterprises defend their networks.

“TCS and Sypris are joining forces to provide customers with the integrated Sypris Cyber Range solution (within a platform that will deliver training)… specifically designed to fortify customers’ defense against cyber attacks,” Morin said Tuesday.

According to TCS, the special curriculum will add 15 modules to the SCR and will be offered to participants in the Asia-Pacific region starting August.

The company cited an IDC/National University of Singapore market forecast that said malware-based events could cost companies in Asia and the Pacific close to $230 billion this year.
