Jim Smith, executive vice president and general manager of CSC’s global business services, said Thursday that the company aims for the partnership “to modernize, mobilize, integrate, secure and manage the evolving global application ecosystem.”
“As we expand our relationship with CSC, we will work to bring even greater flexibility to our client bases as they increase their social, mobile and Big Data workloads in the cloud,” added Steve Robinson, GM of IBM cloud platform services.
The team will form a CSC Center of Excellence to provide IBM Cloud’s SoftLayer infrastructure-as-a-service and Bluemix open cloud platform to clients.
IBM will integrate the SoftLayer IaaS into CSC’s ServiceMesh agility platform in order to help users deploy, integrate and manage services built upon SoftLayer, Bluemix and other cloud platforms.
Developers and information technology managers will be able to learn and purchase IBM software services when CSC’s ServiceMesh is integrated into the IBM Cloud Marketplace.
