Marius Haas: Dell, VMware Come Together to Deliver Open, Automated Platform

Marius Haas, chief commercial officer and president for enterprise solutions at Dell, said the company has partnered with VMware to deliver a “game-changing” platform for data center network virtualization and security.

VMWare NSX, the result of collaboration with Cumulus Networks, seeks to provide a complete, open and automated solution for enterprises and service providers, the two companies said Monday.

“This announcement extends our commitment to providing customers choice in how they move to a more software-defined data center,” Haas said.

VMWare NSX will run on Dell’s converged infrastructure comprising PowerEdge M1000e blade enclosures, Dell Networking 10/40GbE MXL, S6000 and S4810 switches and iSCSI storage arrays.
