Raytheon logo_EbizRaytheon and the U.S. Air Force have completed flight test of an anti-radiation missile designed to help reduce fratricide risks.

The updated High-Speed Anti-Radiation Missile was fired from an F-16 aircraft to target an emitter outside an exclusion zone that also contained another radiating emitter, Raytheon said Friday.

The HARM control section modification engaged the right emitter by using its GPS technology.

The anti-radiation missile works to target surface-to-air missile radars, early warning radars and radar-directed air defense artillery systems.
