curtiss-wright-logo_GovConWire-168x166K. Christopher Farkas, who most recently was assistant corporate controller at Curtiss-Wright Corp., has been promoted to vice president and corporate controller at the Charlotte, NC-based company.

In his new role he will advise senior management on accounting, disclosure and SEC reporting matters and oversee the company’s internal and external financial reporting, accounting policies, financial reporting systems, government compliance, and financial planning and analyses processes.

“Chris possesses a wide range of both financial and operational experience,” said David Adams, president and CEO of Curtiss-Wright.

“This appointment reflects the ongoing dedication and energy that he brings to Curtiss-Wright and I’m confident that he will help drive his team towards achieving our strategic growth objectives,” Adams added.

Prior to Curtiss-Wright, Farkas was CFO and COO at Newmark Grubb ACRES and has also held leadership positions at Parker-Hannifin and United Technologies Corp.
