Jose Molina, former managing director of Accenture‘s financial services industry practice, has been named a principal at Grant Thornton and head of the firm’s financial services advisory enterprise risk management practice.
Molina’s appointment is part of Grant Thornton’s push to expand its financial services advisory practice, which also added former Bank of America executive Ilieva Ageenko as model risk management chief, the company said Tuesday.
“Jose’s proven leadership and experience directing interdisciplinary teams aimed at assessing, enhancing and implementing financial and operational risk management processes will be invaluable assets to our clients,” said Warren Stippich, Grant Thornton’s national head of governance, risk and compliance solutions.
Molina, who will be based in Grant Thornton’s Chicago office, has worked on financial risk management, risk analytics and modeling, risk capital management and operational risk management optimization at firms such as Accenture, Ernst & Young and the former Arthur Andersen.
He is a chartered accountant in Europe and member of the Global Association of Risk Professionals and the Professional Risk Management International Association.
