networkDell‘s OEM Solutions division has partnered with Intel to open the new Dell Internet of Things Lab in Santa Clara, California as the companies aim to help customers develop and test IoT solutions.

Dell said Tuesday the lab is intended to help customers explore IoT technologies in order to apply the tools to manage business outcomes and time-to-market for products and services.

“This lab … is designed to be an active space where our customers can validate and test their solutions on Dell hardware and software systems,” said Joyce Mullen, vice president and general manager of Dell OEM Solutions, a member of the Intel Internet of Things Solutions Alliance.

The Dell IoT Lab is part of the Dell Silicon Valley Solution Center in Santa Clara.

Dell noted it has previously worked with Intel on IoT activities, including as members of the Open Interconnect Consortium for developing standards in device connectivity.
