ManTech has partnered with Los Altos, California-based Saffron Technology to provide threat detection and security products that will work to stop fraud in the financial services sector.
The collaboration combines ManTech’s cyber and intelligence technologies and Saffron’s Natural Intelligence Platform analytics to create a fraud monitoring system for customers, the two companies said Sept. 8.
Saffron CEO Gayle Sheppard said Saffron’s Natural Intelligence Platform uses a “model-free approach†that is able to detect patterns and determine anomalous elements in new data from seemingly unconnected sources of information.
“Now our customers can anticipate new forms of fraud and stay several steps ahead,” said Sheppard, noting that Saffron aims to employ intelligent computing to foresee trends that would help ManTech design analytics-based security solutions.
“ManTech’s experience in cyber operations, threat intelligence, and the identification of anomalies in large and complex data sets, coupled with Saffron’s capabilities in fraud intelligence and operational intelligence, creates a formidable weapon in detecting fraud and anti-money laundering activities in the financial services industry,” said Ted Luchsinger, ManTech commercial services executive director.
