MTSIModern Technology Solutions Inc. has opened a new office in Los Angeles to expand its engineering and technology service operations for military and private sector customers in the Southern California region.

Robert Brady, formerly of LinQuest, TASC and Northrop Grumman, heads the LA site as director for Air Force space acquisition and technology in the defense services division, the company said Thursday.

According to MTSI, among the factors that precipitated the expansion move is an increase in work for Air Force Space Command’s Space and Missile Systems Center in El Segundo.

It also indicated that there is growing demand for its defense tech services, which include systems engineering, acquisition support, testing and assessment, and simulation and modeling.
