VerizonLogoKevin King, director of corporate communications at Verizon Enterprise, has described different methods and ways that enterprises use cloud computing to process their workloads.

King wrote Tuesday that businesses streamline their internal operations for end users and manage information technology systems using cloud environments.

“This directly impacts the bottom line, helping to control costs and improve service channels,” King said.

Employees are also able to gain access to corporate resources on demand in order to collaborate and view information through Internet-connected mobile devices under the bring-your-own-device program, he wrote.

Businesses also “rely on cloud to meet the challenge of storing and analyzing the increasing volume of information in today’s digital world,” King added.

“By understanding big data analytics, companies can act on consumer trends more quickly and innovate to stay competitive in a fast-paced market,” he wrote.
