Harris Corp. will implement a medical technology for Georgia-based Phoebe Putney Health System to facilitate exchange of patient records across the organization’s network of five hospitals.

Phoebe Putney chose Harris’ Fusion FX Provider Portal to help clinicians access medical data in real-time and make decisions at the point of care, Harris said Wednesday.

Vishal Agrawal, president of Harris’ healthcare solutions unit, said the company designed the platform with a workflow tool for physicians to view information on web-enabled devices.

Agrawal added the company aims to help healthcare organizations improve patient engagement and outcomes through the technology.

Phoebe Putney plans to use Harris’ Provider Portal system in conjunction with other electronic health record systems to manage care in acute and ambulatory settings.
