Dr. Harry Cross, a 35-year health and development policy veteran, has returned to Futures Group as senior technical adviser for the global consulting firm.
He will advise the company on healthcare policy development, impact assessment and program design in his new position, Futures Group said Monday.
“I look forward to helping our company continuing to provide development agencies and governments with forward-thinking and innovative technical services to meet today’s health challenges,” Cross said.
He most recently held a similar role at RTI International‘s global health group, where he spearheaded a multiyear effort to promote HIV prevention programs across Asia.
Before that, he spent 12 years at Futures Group and managed the Center for Development Policy as well as United States Agency for International Development-backed policy projects.
He earned a Ph.D. in economic history from the University of California, Berkeley, and did post-doctoral work on Mexican economic development at Stanford University.
