John ToomerJohn Toomer serves as the director for intelligence, information and cyber systems within Boeing‘s space, intelligence and missile defense, national security and space group in government operations where he is responsible for supporting government customer engagement and corporate public policy development.

Prior to Boeing, Toomer served for 25 years in the U.S. Air Force, retiring as a colonel.

During his career he served as the Air Force representative to the joint group that developed U.S. Cyber Command and helped develop and defend the Air Force budget for cyber and information operations programs.

Prior to this role, Toomer served as the chief of integration and interoperability at the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency where he led NGA efforts to provide geospatial technology and processes to the headquarters at Joint Forces Command and U.S. Strategic Command.

He previously served in various leadership positions involving military operations and overseas deployments, including Operations Iraqi Freedom and Joint Endeavor and also taught courses in air power, strategic thinking, military history and joint operations as an associate professor at the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College.

Toomer received his B.A. degree in Business Administration from the University of Puget Sound and earned a Master’s of Science Degree in Operations Management from the University of Arkansas. He is also a graduate of Air War College and Joint Forces Staff College.
