jassmExelis will build composite missile structures for Lockheed Martin‘s two batches of the Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile under a $20 million contract.

Exelis will manufacture the structures for more than 400 baseline and extended-range JASSM versions by composite braiding and resin-transfer mold technologies, Exelis said Wednesday.

“We believe this contract is a reflection of our customer’s confidence in Exelis as a trusted and capable supplier,” said Mike Blair, vice president and general manager of Exelis Aerostructures.
