SAP and its U.S. subsidiary SAP National Security Services have developed a new managed cloud package for U.S. federal agencies to host government and custom applications and operations.
SAP said Thursday it worked with agencies to develop a portfolio that combines cloud, hosted and on-premise functions to meet particular agency needs and regulatory or security requirements.
The company designed the cloud offering to comply with the National Institute of Standards and Technology‘s standards and other requirements of civilian agencies and the Defense Department.
“It is critical that our federal customers have access to cloud models that are tied to national standards along with options for secured support,” said Mark Testoni, president and CEO of SAP NS2.
“Cloud-based solutions are driving transformation across the private sector, and innovative government agencies that embrace them can fuel meaningful change in the way government business is done,” said Jen Morgan, president of SAP North America.
SAP said the “federal secure node” offering will include cloud services for delivery, operations and support as part of the SAP Cloud portfolio.
