Mark Thurston, formerly director of European operations for CH2M Hill, has taken the role of European managing director following the appointment of Mark Fallon as corporate vice president for facilities and urban environments.
“[Thurston] has worked on some of the UK’s most iconic infrastructure programs including the London 2012 Olympic Games and Crossrail and has a wealth of experience in project and program management,” Jacque Hinman, CH2M Hill chairman and CEO, said Tuesday.
Thurston, who has 20 years of experience managing public- and private-sector infrastructure projects, was based in London as he led the company’s European operations.
After joining CH2M Hill six years ago, he has headed projects with the company’s Transcend joint venture and CLM consortium.
He is a member of the Association of Project Management and Institution of Engineering and Technology.
