Robin Portman, an executive vice president at Booz Allen Hamilton, recently discussed the company’s corporate citizenship and veteran-support initiatives in an Off The Shelf interview, Federal News Radio reported Tuesday.

Portman told Roger Waldron, host of the radio show and president of the Coalition for Government Procurement, that Booz Allen continues to build on its projects that support the community and transitioning soldiers.

“For our centennial year, we announced a Centennial Community Challenge where we encourage all of our employees to perform collectively a hundred thousand hours of community service in the calendar year,” Portman said in the interview.

She cited Booz Allen’s partnerships with organizations such as Operation Homefront, USO, TAPS and the Disabled Veterans Association.

Portman also noted that the upcoming Easter Seals Advocacy Awards, of which she serves as chairperson, will highlight efforts focused on veterans.

Off The Shelf is aired on Federal News Radio every Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. ET.
