Dr. Ray O. Johnson, a senior vice president and chief technology officer at Lockheed Martin, will give a speech to graduating computer, mathematics and natural science students at the University of Maryland.
He is slated to deliver the commencement address Sunday at 6 p.m. in the Cole Student Activities Building, the university said Monday.
Dr. Johnson is an academician of the International Academy of Astronautics and serves as a fellow of SPIE, IEEE and the American Institute of Aeronautics.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Oklahoma State University and both a master’s degree and Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology.
He leads Lockheed’s advanced technology laboratories and innovation center as well as provides strategic guidance for engineering, production, program management and supply chain operations.
