Neel Mehta
Steven Shugart serves as president of the government services business at GardaWorld, a position he assumed in October 2014.
Prior to GardaWorld, he was the senior vice president of business development at DynCorp International and held a VP role in the company’s security, training and mentoring group.
He has also served as VP of operations at International RAM Associates, where he oversaw a more than 1,200-employee organization that provides security services across the U.S.
Shugart also holds more than 10 years of experience in law enforcement administration, highway interdiction, search and warrant implementation, technical surveillance and undercover operations.
He is a licensed master peace officer in the state of Texas and has worked for a multi-jurisdictional narcotics task force.
He holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Stephen F. Austin State University and a master’s degree in project management from George Washington University.
