Brian Cann: CGI, Hitachi to Provide Integrated Cloud Services

CGI and Hitachi Data Systems have inked an agreement to deliver private and hybrid Hitachi-powered cloud services to customers.

The cloud model is designed to help users gain access to business data via mobile devices and desktop computers, CGI said Thursday.

“Our partnership with Hitachi Data Systems helps clients achieve their goals to transform enterprise processes by facilitating secure access to business information,” said Brian Cann, vice president of global marketing at CGI.

Cann added that the company intends for Hitachi’s technology to help clients meet their procurement requirements through a cloud delivery model.

Hitachi will provide hosted cloud services through CGI’s data centers in Canada, the United States, Sweden, Norway and Portugal.

CGI is a member of Hitachi’s global systems integrator partner program.
