Wray Varley and Pete Dale have joined Infinera as vice presidents of sales for the optical networking company’s government and cloud businesses, respectively.
Varley, a more than 25-year telecommunications veteran, aims to drive sales programs across the public sector in his new position, Infinera said Tuesday.
He most recently served as an area sales executive at CenturyLink, where he oversaw advanced programs for the departments of Homeland Security, Justice and Energy.
He has also held leadership roles at Bell Atlantic, Sytel and Veridian.
Dale brings more than two decades of industry experience to Infinera and will oversee its cloud and content sales and business development activities throughout North America.
He is former senior VP of BTI‘s America sales organization and has also worked at Bay Networks, Ciena, Internet Photonics, Lucent and Optovia.
